On this page I'll describe my star's life and career: the successes and failures, the joys and sorrows.
Bow Wow
Shad Gregory Moss was born on March 9, 1987 in Columbus, Ohio. Moss began his career as a rapper at the age of six where he was a warm-up on The Chronic Tour. During that time, he was spotted by rapper Snoop Dogg. Snoop gave Moss the name Lil Bow Wow. Bow Wow made his debut appearance on Snoops 1993 multi-platinum album, Doggystyle. Bow Wow was soon signed to Death Row Records. After a few altercations, the young rapper was then signed to Epic Records where he went under the supervision of Jermaine Dupri. Dupri had previous experience with young rappers. In 1992, he formed the highly popular child rap group, Kriss Kross. Bow Wow was also featured on the Wild Wild West Soundtrack with artists Will Smith and Dru Hill.
Bow Wows debut album, Beware of The Dog, was released in 1993. It was produced by Dupri with help from DaBrat. It reached top ten on the Billboard Top 200 without having a huge hit single. The main single from the album, Bow Wow (Thats My Name), did not make the top 20 on the Hot 100 Chart. The album, however, went multi-platinum. The single, Bounce With Me, was also placed on the Eddie Murphy movie, Big Mommas House, soundtrack.
In 2001, Bow Wow collaborated once again with Dupri, and released Doggy Bag. The album reached number two on the R&B and Hip-Hot Charts. It did not make it into the top ten of the Billboard 2002, however. That same years Bow Wow appeared in the film, All About The Benjamins.
In 2002, Bow Wow landed the starring role in the basketball themes film entitled Like Mike. The film allowed the rap to gain more popularity through a larger audience. The rapper was also featured on the films soundtrack. The most notable single from the soundtrack is when Bow Wow collaborated with artists Fabolous, DUpri, and Fundisha in the single, Basketball. In 2003, Bow Wow dropped the Lil on the release of his album, Unleashed.
